Small Format is a third space by and for queer folks based in Providence, Rhode Island. Operating as a gallery and community event space since 2020, Small Format also serves as a cafe and bar. It is currently in the process of transitioning into a co-op.

"Your Auntie's Cigar" is a fall-appropriate cocktail recipe, courtesy of Tameka Eastman-Coburn, the owner of Small Format.

Ingredients

2 ounces espresso

1 ounce mezcal (see note)

1 ounce Frangelico

0.5 ounce Bully Boy Rutabaro Amaro

0.5 ounce Rhodium Black Walnut Coffee Liqueur

Steps

Shake vigorously with ice

Strain

Serve up

Dusted with bitter cocoa
